Hi guys.. what size inserts do I need to get to fit the CB Design insert wheels?
I can find them in .375" .450" and .540"
Can you tell me which ones fit the 14" wheels? 15" wheels?
Also, are you going to be in Saturday?
I've got a decent sized order forming and I'd like to bring the kids up for a little while and
pick everything up in person..

Good question. I would like to know also. Since BWA is out of 15" wheels, and don't know when they will have more, will BWA inserts from Dart Hobbies fit CBD 15s? :?:

I have absolutely what the correct answer to your questuon is.
However I have found that Slot.It inserts fit perfectly. The 14 inch wheels take the 14 inch Slot.It inserts. The 15 inch wheels take the 15 inch inseorts.
Now I have found you do need to trim some depth off of the inserts as the CB Design wheels have a larger hub inside of them.
Your results may vary.

I do not have 14" SCC wheels but I do have 15". The insert diameter of the 15" wheels is around .485", so none of the BWA inserts fit. I actually have some .375" and .450" BWA inserts: the .375" ones are WAY too small, the .450" inserts rattle around so they are unsuitable as well. I do not have any .540 BWA inserts but clearly they will be too large.
I can also confirm that Slot.it 15" Slot.it inserts work great: I have used several. I actually have a Carrera BMW 2002 on my desk right now on which I just this week put some 15" SCC wheels and Slot.it BBS inserts off a Porsche 956. Looks perfect.
Otherwise you always have the option of turning/filing/sanding down original wheels as inserts: I have many cars on which I have done that with excellent results. I actually just filed down the inserts of my MB Slot Ferrari F430 this evening to fit some SCC 18" wheels: looks great and is all but indistinguishable from the original wheels.

On the 14's
0.415". It's the same inner diameter that the smaller wheels from Slot.it have (SIPA33S, for example). Inserts from Slot.it that are compatible with their smaller wheels will also fit the new CB Design 14mm wheels.

I have a few that fit the 15mm C.B. wheels, & slot.it 15mm, mostly oval racer styles though.

Thanks for the info.. I need to find something like this:

slot.it doesn't make any sort of wire wheel insert. I may have to get the
BRM S-110 wheels and just get new tires for them..

We tried having some wire wheels inserts made. They just didn't come out that good, so we never offered them. I do have some if you want to look at them and see if they're worth messing with.
Also, check your PM box...
