For the Trans-Am IROC race first there were time trials using the same car in the blue lane. There were two man teams with one man from the Northern CT club and one from the Shoreline club, the pairings were based on the time trials. The teammates were never both on the track at the same time. There were five cars and those stayed in their own lanes while the drivers rotated. There were two complete rotitions with each team member running in every other heat, so by the time the race was finished each driver had driven all five cars.
The NASCAR race was a regular round robin.
We are looking forward to doing another joint race later this year, probably at one of the Northern CT tracks.

A big "thank you" to everyone who turned out last night and made the inter-club event a success. Special thanks to Glenn for picking up the tab on the pizza - much appreciated! Thank you Bob B. for helping me with organizing this event. I'd also like to thank Smokeio for preparing the IROC Trans Am cars - all ran very well yet they all drove a bit differently so you had to adjust your driving throughout the race.

Already quite a bit of discussion of more of these events in the future - let's keep this going!!
