A couple of updates...

1) Since this thread is already focused on the upcoming Area 51 24 Hour Race, we will continue to post race updates here. We encourage anyone following the race to post any questions throughout practice and the actual event. Please note we're all very busy during the event so it won't be real-time, play-by-play reporting.

2) Earlier this week, it looked like there was a snowball's chance in hell we'd be able to live stream this event. Now I'd say there is about a 75% chance and we're working hard to make this happen. If we do manage to get the live stream working, we'll post a link in this thread and on our Slot Car Corner and Quick Slicks Facebook pages. If we can't get the live streaming working, we'll post video clips as our schedule permits.

To the racers participating in the event, please travel safely. Remember - we race toy cars on the track and not 1:1 cars on the road!

CG has a big pow-wow tonight to practice pit stops and rolling off the air mattress in the proper direction - assuming we are not against the wall again....
I'll be happy if we can stay off the floor this year - both our car and me sleeping!

We just had confirmation that one of our team members most probably won't be able to make it to the race. Steve D has to stay here to work, his colleague that could have replaced him just had a new born baby this morning. Steve needs to take over for him.

We have already drove (and won!) a 24-hour race with 4 drivers. We'll do it again. We'll miss Steve and his driving but we'll make it up. See you soon guys!
