Today I bought some thinner metal wire. Not as thin as I expected, but I have to do with local supplies. I hope to finish the fences this afternoon.

Have you looked at the Gutter mesh? it comes in rolls,and is plastic. One roll will do both ends of the Artin walls.

It's a bit too late, but personaly I prefer the plastic mesh I bought ;)

I finished the fences this afternoon. Tommorow (here in France it's midnight) I'll start building the track ! Finally!

Today I already installed one turn. It was a lot of work (nailing the tracks, installing and glueing the fences, etc...). I'm glad an oval has only 2 turns :mrgreen:

I should respect my daily schedule, more or less. That's a big improvement :lol:

Yesterday I didn't made my daily update, but I worked on the track ! I installed the protection tape on rails, and filled the gaps between the tracks.

Today I sanded the defects, and I will probably start painting tonight. Pics coming soon 8-)

Honestly I'm half happy after 2 coats of paint. The filler I used is not very fine, so the stripe between the tracks is a bit crude. That's the result of being a cheapskate using an old packet I had instead of spending 5bucks for a brand new one. :mrgreen: After spending about 500usd for the whole project, it's a shame :lol:

The paint itself is a bit too dark for my own taste.

But anyway, once it's done, it's done. I'll make updated pics tonight, once the last coat done.
