Great video. I liked the slow-mo of the Porsche going tails-out around the 2:50 mark. Nice touch.

This shows the great racing that can be had without the demolition derby insanity that the magnets tend to bring out. It looks like it was a great time. Thanks for sharing.

Great video. I take it that the flashing light was for a track call to reslot a car? What race management are you running?

You would be correct. We are using the Yingling software. I was told it's no longer available for download. If true, that would be sad. It's a great program.

Bruce, what did you guys do when someone crashed? Did you have marshalls? Or did you use a track call button?

we do both. if the marshal can get the car on fast enough then no track call. if it's a total mess, track call. If no marshals then crashes get a track call.

Do you have multiple fuel ports on a single pit lane? I did not know this would work. That is a good idea.

I assume you mean fuel sensors. If so, then yes. What we were finding is if the power was cut as you entered the pit lane, the sensor wouldn't see you as you rolled over the senor with no power. So to fix this we just added more senors rather than have to reach out and scoot cars back. The track we run on the most has a double pit lane and 6 sensors.

I've raced with the Cincy guys, and I can verify that it's some of the most fun racing I've ever done. Carrera 1:24 digital is the biggest out-in-the-open secret in slot car racing. :banana-dance:

The pit stop can be programmed to count laps or not. I was thinking of turning ours off to maybe impose a penalty for fuel stops a little more harsh than the few seconds required to fuel up.

Jesse, someday we will have the whole barn to race in and we can dream of setting something like this up! A second fuel sensor might be possible though. In that case I would have to deactivate the lap counting or you would get 2 laps for fueling up!

1/24 racing has really replaced the 1/32 racing for our group. It is amazing fun.

If you get the new Bluetooth, which updates the CU, I believe it more than doubles the amount of time to refuel. It's actually painful to sit there that long. That said it has added another level to the fun. I not sure a fuel penalty is needed since you all will need to pit.

One of the guys has that. Can I update my control unit by plugging it in and still keep using the Yingling software and the wall mounted TV? I am not sure if all of the guys have phones or other devices for the Bluetooth thing. I am really not sure what it even does. I understand it sends the info to your I-pad or such thing?

One of the things about fueling is that cars with more magnets seem to require more juice and run out of fuel a little faster. If it took longer to refuel it might level the field a little bit.
