Magless Digital Racing, more sensors in parallel

I am trying to run magless Carrera digital but I always have to put the LC at least one segment after a curve otherwise it will not pick up the car trying to change lanes/or do a pit stop if there is at least a bit of slide (I am guessing that's why some other brands have the sensor in the slot itself and not the side).
So I am thinking if it is possible to add more sensors to the track in parallel to the other sensor so that even if there is some slide the car's sensor is still caught.
Has anyone tried this? Any idea on the part number for the sensor?
thanks!

I have the same problem with the slide missing the sensor. It is almost impossible to put in a lot of lane changers in a road coarse when you really need 3 or more straights to do the lane change- 2 for the change and 1 to get lined up for it. Even this does not always work, as the cars can be drifting a lot sometimes.
I am not sure how the double sensor would work, but I guess if you sort of knew which way the car was swerving it might make sense to place an additional sensor in that spot.
We have taken to running a single magnet and it works pretty well. Not as much sliding but still a lot of challenge in running the cars.

Thanks for the suggestion. The other problem I have is that my kids run 1/43 on the 1/24 track and in that case it is the opposite, the car sensor is too far in to trigger the LC because those cars don't slide and are pretty much stuck to the rail. Maybe a line of sensors would fix it, but what is the part number?

My group run 1/32 non mag and 1/24 with a middle mag. The two tracks we run on often only have a strait between the curve and lane change. Our fix is to work on setup and not to sling the car around. If the inside tire is more than past the slot, it's probably out of control.... according to our group of friends.

not out of control here, and sometimes even leaving the extra straight when the car recovers and goes the other way (for a split second) it also misses the LC or the start/finish counter.

On our 4 lane high speed oval we moved the signal eye back about 2 tracks lengths.
We were having problems of cars going to fast to trip the gate. Anyone else ever tried this?
Works for us for the speeds we are running, darn 40k NSR motors!

that's a very good idea. not sure if that would work with lower speeds though.

We have found re-drilling the track sensor, and on the car your driving no matter what speed it is and gets to the trap eye first,, it will trip the gate. You just have to hold the trigger button down earlier before getting to the cross over :auto-driving: . Does that make sense? :?:
