Just bought a Carrera Digital set

Just bought a Carrera 132 digital set. Looking for opinions, suggestions, etc. Never had a digital set and only raced on a digital track once before. Can I run analog cars on a digital track without a chip?

When the system is turned on there is always power to the track. So if you put an analog car on the track it will shoot down the track and crash at the first corner. All analog cars will need to be chipped with Carrera digital chip before it can run on the track.
