Hi...
I was wondering if anyone knows if the Carrera digital head light whip is available on its own, or is it, like I suspect, only available with a chip?
Thank you
John

the whip ...the tiny circuit board that has the LED lights on it and a short piece of wire with the male end plug on it..that plugs into the chip...….. did not know the name for it so I used a term I have heard electricians use on job sites to describe similar pieces of equipment , though much much larger!
Thanks
John

Generally they are not available outside of the car itself. You may find someone has parted them out of a digital car if they are converting it to analog.
The digital boards don't come with the lights.
Alternatively you could make up some from LEDs and resistors...

If you don't mind not having the board you can just hot glue 3V led's into the headlight sockets and connect them to the chip. I have done this many many times to Carrera and non Carrera cars to add lights. The digital chip itself is the resistor.

What car are you working on? We may have the spare part you need.
