Sylvain, you started in the right place. I think the little Cheetah is the best car that Carrera has ever made. And, I also agree that digital is the way to go now. Analog slot racing paved the way, but digital is what is going to carry slot racing into the future. If it matters to you, the Porsche 904 raced against the Cheetah in the '60's. Keep having fun, you are well on your way.

Saturday night, i went pratice on a larger layout, about 62 foot, all the way, pit stop etc, even better, of course with my cheetah and then i could try some other cars, i did a lot of lap with a Corvette C6 and a green Ferrary it was fun, then we did a pratice race, i let my friend race with my Cheetah and i took his Ferrary, the final result was he finish 1st with my car and i finish second with his car!

IMHO that is the finest paint job on a classic car I have seen in years.

I have the same digital car only in the early release in the chrome finish, we love digital racing on a our large 4 lane tri-oval, with added PG tires & a hot 30K NSR motor & slot it gears these Carreras can sometimes out run a full blown slot it or NSR cars. What a blast!

I have the Orange #8 analog and put a chip in it. It's my fastest car. It sticks great even without the upgraded tires I bought.

I have the #8 Cheetah too, and liked it so much have ordered the blue #14 to go with it. Very fun cars on my wood road course.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying your Cheetahs, BTW this blue one is the last of the Cheetahs for a while. There won't be a new one for 2016, beyond that we will have to see.

Dave - appreciate the heads up on no new liveries coming in 2016! I was thinking about picking up another to relivery - and from the sounds of things, I might not want to wait too long - or face the dreaded "out of stock" sign like I did on a couple previous models Carrera released.
Looks like it is time to wander over to Carrera Slots! :)

a little update

yesterday i went racing with this beauty, about 500 lap done with it and 2 races(150 lap each):
excellent handling, fast, fun to drive
it was an excellent choice of car for my 1st digital car

I have to agree with the Carrera Cheetahs being fairly quick out of the box. We tell the new guys just starting out to get one or borrow one of our NSR 30K motored Cheetahs. When they want more out of it after getting use to it then maybe upgrade the motor & PG tires.

it is my best car so far,i did compare PG tire and the original tire from Carrera , after several test, i kept the original ones, i had better handling and better race result, however i am searchig for silicone...

^^ Are you running the stock magnets?,, the PG tires on our Carrera track out preformed the stock ones even with the silicones, we give them a slight sanding 1 time before we race for the nite & run a tape roller on them after 20-40 laps or so. One small Proff. Motor additional button mag on the rear really improves our car control even with a hotter 30k motor. Sounds like you're having fun!
