Help with GT40 Carrera digital conversion/chipping

Postby Burrell » Tue Dec 17, 2013 11:05 pm

Does anyone have a photo of a Carrera digital chip placement for a Slot.it GT40? I've googled searched like crazy and can't find a photo. Can I shave down the motor pod to make the LED lower to the chassis?

I cant provide a photo but we have Carrera chipped many slot.it chassis using the D132 chip, I would NOT shave the motor pod down to fit the chip. Mount the chip just behind the front axle drill 2 small holes for the switch and the exciter bulb, put a dab of paint on the bulb & switch to locate your holes. The bulb & switch should not hang below the chassis as slot.it cars have very little clearance between chassis & track,it does not matter if its mounted high as it will get the signal to switch lanes ok. We use two sided tape & hot glue to set it in place. In the end you will have one fast a** slot.it car on a Carrera track.. ;) Hopes this helps.
