The 4 Fly Porsche cars I purchased arrived yesterday. I warmed up the mancave, powered up the track, and put the first car on for a test drive. It barely made it around the track the rear tires were so hard and slick. I found a bag of PGT 21127 tires in a parts bin and started changing tires. A few of the old ones came apart in my hands as I tried to remove them. I noticed the bigger PGT's made contact with the sidewinder motor shaft so I got the Dremel out and snipped both ends off before reinstalling the rear axles.
After lubing the axles the bodies went back on and the cars went back on the track. WOW, what a difference! The new additions qualified 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 10th in my 17 car Can-Am field. This is clearly the best 4 car purchase I ever made, at just a little over what I've paid for 2 new Fly cars.
