What do you consider the best wire bender, and where can I find it?
I have made a few chassis without one and don't like the outcome. I just can't get the same result every time.

Frank,

I've beeb using the wire bender made by RGEO Products. I've had mine now for going on 5 years and have not found anything that I can not replicate each time.

Here is a photo of some interesting rails, made of .078 wire, that I bent on my nender.

I hope this helps.

When I went to the website my anti-virus went wild. How much does this cost?

Would or could someone post a picture as the site is trying to install three pieces of software to my computer?

I use the Backtrack chassis jig which has an integral bender. What I like about it over
the other benders I have is that there are markings for degrees of the angle like there
are on a plastic protractor. Very easy to make bends of different angles. It is also the
best chassis jig I have used with hundreds of pin holes for aligning wire rails side pans,
etc. The cost is about $60 so it is not cheap but it includes everything you could ever
need to scratch build a chassis. I also use it to align the front and rear sections of
H & R chassis.

The Backtrack chassis jig with the integral bender is a quality made unit. It's down side is that you can't bend & build on it at the same time. You need to make all your bends first, then use it as a chassis jig. I have one of these jigs. Backtrack has since replaced this jig with two seperate plates, one for the chassis jig, the second for bending. Last I knew, these plates were not sold as individual pieces. Contact Chicagoland Raceway in Downers Grove, IL for availability & pricing.

I use duck billed pliers and bend both wires at once
