Power supplies of this sort often have another set of connections on the back, if so the ones on the front are not intended to carry much current.

Thanks Rich,
well I checked it over closely and jumped some of the few cracked areas of the output connections with no luck. Oh well, I'll just have to order another one.

John, if I needed another power supply, I'd try one. Generally, I'm not a fan of Chinese products, but you can't beat the price, plus the free shipping. 0-10 amps & 0-16 V will break-in most club/home track motors as well as power slot car equipment such as tire truers & comm cutters. If you get one, be sure to tell us how you like it.

hi Tycosaur,
I fee for ya.
I'm about to go on the road for a few months tomorrow morning, but I'm an old power supply guy who happens to own some of these things (as do my friends) and have had to repair a couple that experienced infant mortality.
so I'd say, rather than trash the thing, ship it to me the cheapest way you can and i'll see if I can make it good. doesn't sound like it'd be unfixable by any means, but unfort' like I said I'm on travel right now.
meanwhile, the one in the link above looks ok, and if you google various power supply Voltages and/or currents, there's a ton of similar ones out there on the cheap. last one I bought was a polluted-country 3010KDS 0-30V 0-10A for my HO test track.
just offering, but i won't be back til March. pm me if you care.
regards,
speedy
