Has anyone tried Black Bull Industrial Adhesive?
My Scalextric Viper had a broken guide holder. I tried this two part adhesive and it is holding.

I haven't tried it - but like to hear that it is holding up on a guide repair! That is definitely a "high stress" repair! May have to look at picking up some! Thank you for the heads up! :D

Is it an epoxy? I've used JBWeld epoxy in the same area and it worked very well. I too would like to know how this holds up!

It is an adhesive. You put the adhesive on one side and the activator on the other side. You have to be quick when putting things together. They stick like glue (LOL).
You can check out the web site "www.boatquickcare.com.
I have been pushing and pulling one the guide and it is like it never broke in the first place.
I am putting everything I can find with this stuff.

The chassis' on our little cars tend to be made with FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic). Some contain more than others. I've found that good old PVC cement works well on it. This is the same stuff plumbers use to glue plastic piping together. I use the PVC cement first, then if that seems adequate I figure job well done, if not I'll use some epoxy or super glue to reinforce the joint. A small can of PVC cement will last a long time. Just don't use the big brush in the can. :)

Hmmm - never considered trying that... If I crack/break another front guide mount, I will have to explore that as another possible solution, since I know I still have primer/glue here from fabbing up PVC bows for the cover on my 6x8 trailer.
Thanks for the tip! :)

Just a quick update. Sunday was a Kids race for about 40 kids.
The Scalextric Viper chassis was put to the test, or should I say the wall.
The Black Bull did a remarkable job. :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

From the description on the website, the stuff is a cyanoacrylate adhesive. It isn't a "two-part adhesive." Beyond the adhesive itself, the other two main items shown are an accelerator, which speeds the cure, and a primer, which cleans and preps a surface to accept a stronger bond with the acrylic that is the result of the cyanoacrylate curing; both are common items made for use with industrial-quality cyanoacrylates. The website also lists filler powders to work with the cyanoacrylate. I'm no chemist, but these are all things one learns when researching cyanoacrylate glues on sites like Loctite or 3M. Is there any German company or other information source listed on the glue bottle?
