Here is a great way to save a little money and still get a quality paint for your layout. It would work on any scenery, track surface or for lane colors.

Lowe's has these 7 ounce bottles for $2.98. You can get them at the counter. They can be tinted any color a full gallon can be. They are made for folks to take a color and try it at home on a wall.

How silly, these are slot car track paints, anyone knows that.

They go a long way too.

Harry,
I used those to paint the backdrop on my layout. It was a great inexpensive alternative to having to buy a quart and like you said they will tint any color they have.

Thats how I painted the oval, I used Bher sample cans, didn't like the first color combo so it got repainted flat black with flat grey dry brushed over top to give a well used look from day one. The facial expressions you get when they ask what the heck your painting those colors is worth more than the money saved when buying paint this way :banana-rock: This is also how the trim in our house got painted.Between the track and the trim I've got about $15 invested and paint left over :banana-rock:
