Very interesting. Will be following this build.

Is it just my eyes or the camera angle...... but that oval has a distinct 'D' look to it.

I should also say that this build already has the mark of quality.

Nice job on making it so multi-purpose in a small area.

While you're at it, how about building a tire trueing station (a feature learned from Luf) in one of the corners? I did this on my track.



Something to consider.

Looking forward to trying it out in the fall.

Hi John:

Yes the track is a slight D shape, or even a slight kidney shape as the straight ended up with an even slighter bend inward. That was not intended but the curve on the D side was. I expect the curved side will be faster than the straight.

I didn't live in BC when Westwood was in operation, and it was in Coquitlam, not Maple Ridge. Now for nostalgia sake, I could call it Maple Ridge Mosport, as I grew up in Toronto, and Mosport was THE track for big races at that time, even the Canadian Grand Prix and numerous CanAms. Jim Hall's Chaparrals looked beautiful going around that track.

Yeah Ron, they should have just gone a little higher up the mountain and it might still be there. How many good race tracks end up under all those houses? But I guess you could say the same for all those fertile productive farms, eh?

When SLOP does return, I'll be ready.
