Your track is looking great. I've used braid on all but one of the tracks I've built. Braid delivers the power much better than copper tape. You won't be disappointed. And Slot Car Corner has made applying braid so much easier with their transfer tape. Plus there is no mess to deal with.

You have the nice custom roller too?
The other end has an attachement for a light sabre (sold separately)

Got a lil more done..........ran some power to red lane to test........

modded a old tin rail so I could add the tape to the braid in one step.......
