The toughest part of the sanding is done (120 'quick' pieces to go), then it's time to drill holes and assemble. Covered in sawdust, enjoying the heck out of the build. :)

Good news, I don't think it's going to be firewood. Put together the first frame today as a 'proof of concept', and it appears to work nicely, with even more rigidity than expected. We've made a few refinements, and we're working on a build process that simplifies assembly. Holy crap, there are a lot of parts, but it looks to be worth it. :)

The funny thing is, Spa is small potatoes. The platform is really the big story -- it makes Spa and every other track possible with a single platform build.

But yeah, I'm excited about Spa, too. :)

Once you have the height you want, do you just run some screws in to lock it?

So far, I have less than 250 dollars worth of lumber, and it's enough to build 20 of these individual platforms. I do have a lot of hours, but it's all easy work.
