The Bondo stuff is really great. If for example you have a slot worn wide, or routed a little wider than intended this stuff is the fix.
One word of caution, if fixing a slot that is sloppy, put a piece of the correct width plastic in the slot, but wrap it in wax paper. That way when the bondo is dry, the wax paper acts as a release agent and gets the plastic or whatever you have used to fix the slot , back out quite easily. Recently redid a friends routed oval with braid.
The braid had bent and the wood under the braid was actually worn away. With bondo and the plastic trick I was able to repack the worn areas using a popsicle stick to packmthe bondo in and it made the track like new again.
