Very nice hack. Does that groove down the center allow cars to rest on all 4 tires?
The better half and I were just thinking about stopping by the IKEA outside Boston this weekend.

I love IKEA hacks! Some seriously cool stuff there.
Nice work Junior - that looks fantastic and as if it was made for your track and cars.

thank you - I will often run a series of cars at a time so will take 5 or 6 of the storage shelf for a run and tune up. What I find myself doing is leaving them in the 2nd lane on the track. Now though I want to make my 2 lane track into a single lane with a cross over piece, I needed a better solution. I have been looking through my scrap timber pile for suitable material and trying to work out what I could knock up. The search is now over down to Ikea for a couple of these shelves and I am set (plus they will look heaps better than anything I could bang up)
