The Kalmbach book that John mentions is good.
I've not tackled rust yet, but peeling paint is fun. Ad it's as simple as they say. I didn't believe them, but it is.
There are lots of tutorials on YouTube. I'd suggest with rust it is all about the colour choices. Burnt umber for old rust, a little burnt sienna or gold oxide for new.
Practice makes perfect with anything. But you've made a good start.

Looks great, very nice!
The rust technique I have used before is soak some steel wool in rubbing alcohol overnight, take it out and it will rust as it dries. Just dip the rusted steel wool in the alcohol again and spread over the areas you want rust and BAM...you got real rust!
