As the title says, this is my first attempt at trying to weather a car. I need to give kudo's to Shotgun Dave for helping me with the project.

These "rustifications" are getting so good, they look like die cast left buried in moist soil for a couple of decades.
I should know... I once dug up a toy car of my father's (a 1920s sedan), in my grandmother's back yard. I would have kept it, but it fell apart in my 8-year-old hands.
I am inspired to do a little rusting on my Beach Racer car. The resin was a bit thin here and there (it started life as a "blem" anyway, so it was intended as a piece of scenery), and even though it doesn't fit the planned form, I can't resist. Maybe it won't seem too much out of place.

This looks too good. It's something I'd like to try in the not too far distant future. I've got a Revell Snaptite 69/70 Mustang kit that needs a Pioneer chassis and this look.
