Here's a project I wanted to do 3 years ago. Since then I've starred at the box hoping Carrera would release a chassis that fit. This past weekend I got a wild hair and went for it. I started with the Carrera D124 C6R. I had to cut about 1/8 in out of the chassis to shorten it. I then used some brass box tubing and screws to put it back together. I used a Slot-Factory rear end kit so I could use the wheel off a Scaleauto BMW Z4 and I used the interior from a Carrera GT3. I left the race driver in and removed the roll cage. Just pretend he's at his local auto cross! The chassis photo is pre-Slot-Factory parts.

Looks great, your chassis mod is definitely better than building mine.. :lol: I couldn't bring myself to cutting up a chassis. Would be interested to see a pic of what the axle mod looks like.

I'll post one on our Facebook page. I'm headed out of town and won't be able to post it here until Wednesday at the soonest.

Facebook = Cincyslots

Thanks,

It's from Revell Germany. It is offered in the USA too. It's a very well done. Most model kits these days are very poorly made.

Thanks,
Bruce

Yes, it's the same. They can be ordered at slot car factory. I didn't notice a huge performance gain with all the stuff we do to them but if you were to take a stock d124 and use these, night and day for the non tuner guys.

The biggest benefit is being able to dress up the rims for me.
