So my challenger is heading to the paint booth. I am going red with flat black hood. The brass bumbers and side bars will be gloss black. I am useing krylon in keeping with that Saturday Night Short Track racer look. Already have 3 coats sanded Brown primer.

So, do red first then flat black? Flat black first. Tape recommendation. How long to wait between colors? First multi color paint job.

My advise on the paint, Do the red first. Start with a lite coat ten go back with a nice even coat after the first is applied. Before masking, give it 24 hours to be safe.

Then to the flat black hood.
For your masking, use the 3M blue tape and just make sure you rub the edges down with a finger nail or a burnishing tool to make a sharp edge.
Mask everywhere else off, then do several light coats of your flat black. Don't spray one massive black coat.

That is going to look great!
