Tamiya Gloss Clear

Does Tamiya still make their TS-13 clear gloss? I've looked in a couple of local hobby shops and the space on the rack that designates the TS-13 is consistently empty. I asked one of them if they can get it and they said that they thought it had been discontinued.

I'm in the North Boston area; any shops around there that you know of that carry the TS-13 clear (assuming that they still make it)?

I've ordered many, many times through the years from Tamiya USA website, all good. TS-13 shows that it is "coming soon".

I believe they had a fire in the factory. Supplies have slowly been dribbling in over here. My local toy store got a full shipment recently, but theirs might have been in transit at the time. The other place I buy it from is waiting for an order which is 10 weeks overdue.

It won't be in the USA anytime soon.

Due to some labeling issues, they are waiting for Fed approval of the new label before it will be allowed back into circulation.

In the meantime the Krylon Acrylic Clear that was suggested is pretty high quality. Been using it myself and it is so good I won't bother with anything else. What I like about it is it does not "attack" decals as aggressively like other clears might do.

Beginning to wonder about that.

After I cleared it, I always buff it out with car polish. Maybe it was the polish? Unless yours wasn't polished and still did it.

I contacted Krylon. Would you believe they never heard of such a thing? AND they added this riveting comment: "That should not happen". Customer service is just oozing at the seams.
