Stripping a Proslot.....Help!

Postby TsgtRet » Thu Oct 25, 2012 5:24 pm

Are Romanian paint and tampos different than Chinese or Spanish? I've had a Proslot Ferrari 360 body in alcohol for 16 hours now and the tampos haven't even started to lift. By this time I had a naked Pioneer Charger! Is there a secret or will I have to resort to sanding and priming over everything?

Its been a while, but I think that was a car that I had to scratch up with sandpaper before the alcohol did any good at all, like some of the Scaley white kits. Its a thick clearcoat that is standing in the way. Scratch it up with some #400 or so then soak it again.

Makes sense, I'll give it a shot when I get home from work in the AM.
