1/24 Cobra kit built
Posted: Sat Jan 17, 2015 9:39 pmI built another Monogram model in to a digital 1/24 slot car. I got the pre-colored metal flake one but the included decals fell apart so I had to use a spare set. This car is not even painted, just decals over the plastic and floor polish on top.
I get carried away with lights a bit and put in marker lights as well.
The donor car was a Cheetah and the interior and driver are fitted right in.
I swapped out the Cheetah axles for a narrow set so I could put the rear end down low. The wheels are from the model kit glued in place on the Carrera axles.
I set this car up with one magnet to run against the other cars in the class I am building. This will have to do until Carrera makes a Cobra in 1/24 scale.
