Got a stock Bugeye build with a metal chassis going.

Re-worked my last set of BWA front and rear scratch built brackets with 3/32 square brass main rails and .032 strips for bracing and body mounts.





As usual, Ranch Design rims and Paul Gage tires for motion.





Munter resin body provides cover. Going for an understated look with hard interior cover, single hoop roll bar and wire wheel inserts.



You can't have too many Bugeyes.

Great build as usual. What Ranch Design wheels did you use, and what PG Tires? I think those would work for a Mini build I have going. Too bad BWA doesn't make those chassis pieces anymore. :)

Footscoot, there is a guy in Australia who is making brackets that are almost identical.
User name is Camber on Auslot forum.

I bought five. They look almost identical.

The rims are custom made ones that Steve at Ranch did for me awhile back. They're designed to fit the .375 BWA wheel inserts. Just ask him for the Cortina file ones. The Paul Gage tires are sized 20084, I believe.

I have used this combination on most of my classic small car builds.





I'll have to check out those brackets from Camber.

The chassis is a beauty, but that line up is spectacular!

Some progress.

Got the chassis rolling with a BWA FF050 motor, Slot It 9t pinion, SCX Pro 26t crown and MB Slot guide.



Body's mounted using Dart Hobby 2-56 screw holders in plastic tubing allowing adjustability for body rock.



Runs just fine on my little test track.

A bit of modeling done too with the driver figure opening in the hard interior cover.





Stance is just right for me.

Test ran on Luf's Targa Burnaby and a bit more front weight needed.

Body paint in Tamiya AS-19 Intermediate Blue is next.
