Dodge Daytona.....LMP?

Well not really! I've had this Carrera Daytona body hanging around for a while needing a chassis, and I also had a Scalextric Peugeot LMP with a damaged body. The wheel base was just about perfect between the two, so why not stick the chassis under the Dodge. I radius the wheel openings to get the body to sit low on the chassis. If you look behind the nose cone on the Carrera Daytona there is a couple of tunneled areas behind the head light buckets, so I cut that area out on the body for using the lights on the Peugeot chassis. The tunneled area is not as big as the factory pop up headlight, that is why they aren't cut out all the way. I used Bare Metal Foil and chrome paint for reflectors in the head light. Kristal Clear was used for the head light lenses. I also cut open the tail lights and used clear plastic painted with red translucent paint for the lenses. The interior is a flat piece of sheet plastic with a driver from the spares box, and the roll cage from a 1/32 stock car kit. I used Testor's Plum Crazy lacquer paint and clear coat. Trim is done with Bare Metal Foil. I still need to number and letter the car. This was another fun project that cost no money by using parts and pieces that I had kicking around. Sorry for the dark pictures.
