This is a great classic Bob. Well done. These are the lights we talked about I take it? They do shine the line!

Thank you Sir,And yes these are the lights in question, that is at 8 volts, but they are no dimmer at 6 or brighter at 12?
They are perfect for night racing.

Thanks Dave, I kind of like it myself! its has a good wheelbase to track width, makes great handling car. The decals, Including the checker board stipe was rescued from a 1957 lindberg Mercedes 300 kit. a little clear coat first and some warm water made them work! Amazing how much the car looks like a cobra.

Really sweet ride, Bob; of course I'm a sucker for the classics. Headlight rings? Check the arts and crafts jewelry section at Wallyworld or Hobby Lobby......lots of little shiny silver rings.
Hey could you PM me the info on your headlight setup?

Thanks all, I think the wheels are Ninco, They match some I just got on another chassis. They are pretty nice for plastic wheels, and seem to run true. I am liking these new lights!

Bob - I'll PM you my address in a moment for you to ship it to me ;)
Really excellent work! I have one of these I wanted to cast, but the guy didn't tell me that after I paid $40 in a bidding war for it that it had been glue-bombed back in the 1960's with a very hot model glue. The pictures managed to hide that fact. I ended up throwing it away it was so bad :(
