Sorry to hear the build was such a bugger, but the end result was way worth it! I love the Pan-am cars anyway, but the fantasy continuation is awesome. I have thought many times of doing that myself, no particular car, just a 57-58 build of some kind.
Very nice end result in my opinion.

Typically, I find these sort of problems are the result of not cleaning the body properly prior to paint.
I have had that happen a couple times, by the time you've painted it a few times whatever was causing it to go wacky, has been washed or sanded away! :-(

Really neat looking car! Nice work!
It could be cleaning as mentioned before, but I've seen resins from some folks leach something out...like the resin never cured or something.
