If you were going to be making say 1000+ slot cars, what bushings, axles and motors would you suggest?

I have been working on making some odds and ends, and the challenge of making a 1/32 scale plastic car has been on my mind for some time. The problem has been getting the legalities out of the way. Nothing is finalized, but it is looking very promising with one manufacturer and so I need to start doing the CAD work for the chassis mold. My first idea was to simply make a replacement body for another companies' chassis, but the impression I am getting is that they want a finished product.

So the problem of figuring out what to use comes along.

Also, these will come as kits. I have no ability to do the tampo printing, although I can supply decals. I can make different colors of plastic too.

We are looking to add a sinker EDM machine to the shop so the quality should improve over my earlier primitive efforts.

You'd probably do well to ask some of the smaller manufacturers. But at a guess you may need to learn to speak Chinese.

Unless you want to approach someone like Champion or Slot.it for quantity access to their parts.

I tore apart one of my Carrera cars and measured the motor and bushing dimensions.

At this point I am leaning towards maybe not supplying anything except a kit that can be easily converted to a slot car. It will not be until next year before I have to make that decision.

I do have an account on Ali-baba and have looked at the stuff on there.
