Corvair for Dundee Speedway - Buttoned up and turning laps!!

The Boyz picked up a second hand Corvair from Chris at Cagee 13 to work on.

What the Boyz likes about these is that they can be run hard and look good with the added patina, and no parts are flying off in all directions.

Going on a unaltered Pioneer chassis and power plant. Love it when the wheelbase requires no tinkering!!

That body just looks right at home on that chassis! Looking forward to seeing what the Boyz come up with on that one! :)

That's too cool, does Cagee cast those? I'd like to get one in my shop.

Should be really cool, Denny. My very first car was a 62 Spyder coupe, very underrated in their day.

Dave, I think that's a Yenko Stinger in the pic and that would make a great subject for a period "Porsche Fighter". Info here: http://www.yenkostinger.org/

As the title says "Warning - Sunglasses required"!!

WOW was the Boyz response to this color on the Corvair, this car won't ever get lost on the track!!

Kind of trying to loosely model after a Yenko Stinger............

Second coat of paint using racing green as the accent color, and tone down the yellow "a little".

Big exhausts, vents for the engine compartment, spoiler, and the list go's on..........

I like that color. It shows up well, even better on a dark track.
