Got another one finished....I'm on a roll. Its loosely based on an SCCA Sedan Jaguar 3.8 S I came across just searching the web. The body is a MPC Jaguar 420. Instead of a clear coat I used a lusterless clear coat which gives it a pretty cool look. There are a couple things I'm thinking of changing which is the raked stance (I'll have to raise the front end) and the chrome wheels (flat black or a dull coat over the chrome).

Chris another great build. I agree the finish is very fitting. What chassis did you use? I have a Corvette that I just painted the wheels with a silver rattle can from my local Wally and they turned out great. Nice build. Jim

Double thumbs up from Dundee!!!
The car itself, the color combo, just everything looks fantastic.
Has to be so much fun powering this around the track!!!

That's great looking. I have always wanted to do Inspector Morse's car, but I never found the right body for the right price. I may have to break down and buy one of the costly ones, now. You inspired me.

Glad you guys like it. I was searching for the 3.8 but it looks like Slot Classic was the only manufacturer I could find actually producing it. I've been in a bit of a Jaguar kick lately, as you will see in the next day or so, I bought a 1:1 S Type over the past summer just for fun and really like it. There has been a couple of 1:1 3.8 S popping up for sale locally but at the moment are financially out of grasp so these will be as close as I get.
The clear coat was Model Masters Lusterless (Flat) its a Lacquer rattle can.
Jim the chassis is scratch built brass but it is a horrible sight. I've pretty well realized that brass and me just don't work well together.

That's really nice, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for these big cats.
I quite like the stance on this one, looks mean. Gold and Black really looks the part too.
