Cord 812

I finally got around to finishing one of my Cord 812 bodies....Thankfully I saved this one because the mold split on me. I could only find a handful of Cord racers so I decided on a simple fantasy livery. Its a scratchbuilt brass chassis under it and BRM rear wheels (I'll probably add a set to the front to really complete it). Here is just a quick photo I took this morning. I'll add some more hopefully tonight

Looking good Chris!

How about a chassis shot when you get time?

Thanks guys. It feels nice to finally get a build finished. I've got about 10-15 that are so close and just need to get in gear to get them done. Hopefully this one will start a trend for me.

Wow, that is nice. Those BRM wheels are fine aren't they?

Now that's something you don't see much of. A Cord slot car. Great build.

Chris that looks fantastic. I agree , it deserves a set of BRM on the front. Great looking car. Jim

Beautiful job on an unusual slot car subject!

I like it!

Chris, I know what you mean about slot car projects...I found that alternating between two projects at a time works for me. I stagger the work, so when the model putty is drying on one, I'm prepping another body,... while one has the paint drying, I'm sanding the putty on the other one,..while waiting for decals to dry, I'm painting the other... Sometimes, I run into a puzzle for one project and I take a break from it and work on the other one until I can think of a solution. I found I actually enjoy alternating between two projects.

Anyway, nice fantasy livery!
