Funny, I was just suggesting to Kemtronracer that he put Rat Finks in his 1/24 scale VW buses. He hasn't built them yet but received the kits in the mail about a week ago. They come with a removable soft top that covers a cut out in the roof. I thought it would be cool to find some oversized Rat Finks or Weird Ohs to hang out the top of those buses with oversized gear shifts.
Those V Dubs look great! I especially like the two in the gutter lanes with the Maltese crosses on them.

Thank you everyone! Glad you like them,...I love seeing them go around the track. It took me a while get this project finished...the RatFinks are a little harder to find and cost me more than the first two I purchased five years ago. But, I wanted to have all Ratfinks driving the RatRod VWs. These run pretty well, I originally had the orange endbell Slot.it motor in the first car I built...it was cool seeing it move so quickly on the straightaways! It reminded me of a guy in high school that had a hot-rodded, sleeper VW Beetle, that car was super quick!
There's something about beating out a muscle car with a little VW that appeals to me. Another guy I knew had a Beetle with a Porsche motor in it that would lift the front wheels off the pavement!
Steve, I was thinking of doing a Ratfink Bus too...I'm not sure how I'll go about it. I was surprised to find a fair amount of threads on VW buses. I've been following Kemtronracer's Microbus thread.
I posted a few more pics of the chassis at the link in the original post. To mount bodies I needed to glue a small square of styrene plastic to the bottom for the front body post to attach and needed to extend the rear body post by gluing spacers to it to get the rear tire clearance I needed.
