Nomad "parts" Hauler maiden voyage to the junkyard!

Postby Dundee Denny » Sat Nov 30, 2013 10:46 am

Boyz decided to try and "class up" their almost daily visits to the junk yard here in Dundee, and will do so with this Nomad they started tinkering with.

SRP from IA resin body, with a to be lengthened Pioneer chassis and motor so the trips back and forth to the junk yard will be "speedy" for sure!!

Boyz still back and forth on the "fine tuning" of this great body style.

Looking forward to seeing what the Boyz do with this one. I'm still plotting on my Gunze Nomad.

Ember, can't wait to see your creativity unfold!!

The SRP resin piece is body only, no interior, glass or bumpers, really meant for a roundy - round life.

So with the Boyz limited creative skills, this one is going to end up pretty basic.

Been wanting to use this paint for awhile, and it looks good on the Nomad, so we will see what kind of ride the Boyz turn out.

The '55 and '56 Nomads are my favorite wagons. I know the boyz will do justice to this one. :)

A friend of mine has just taken delivery of a '56 in that very same colour with a white roof. Don't know how long he had to wait for it to come through the docks. I assume he purchased it when he was over there in March this year for his son's wedding. It looks great sitting in his garage beside his FC Holden wagon.

Just don't do tinted windows, makes them look like to much like the panel wagon model.
I'm pretty sure they all left the factory with white roofs........it was a feature of the Nomads.

Boyz took their turkey leftovers to the garage today and got the chassis lengthened and the interior fitted to haul parts.
