Will do. It shouldn't be a problem though. My Napier and Birkin are both set up the same way and handle very nicely. Ditto the Pink Kar Bugattis and Auto Unions. The Scalextric Bentley's and Alfas are all set well behind the front wheels and are more easily de-slotted. You just have to keep in mind what you are driving and proceed accordingly. It's kind of like real life. A pre war car will not handle as well as an F1.

This is my first quasi scratch built car and I'm happy at this point just to get the motor fitting without decimating the interior and the guide placed so it doesn't look like a cow catcher. Steering is certainly a fun idea, but I would be concerned about increased fragility in a car that already is more fragile than an RTR slot. Also the wheels that I'm using would require a rotating axle stub - considerably more engineering than I want to get into right now.

Thanks John. No. I'm flying pretty much solo except for the 6 year old kid next door. He cries too much when he loses though, so I have to find some older kids to play with. I'm having great fun just building right now and it's very relaxing just to see these things putting around the track. They're a proxy for all the 1:1's I'd love to have in my garage.
