my next project will be this Aston Martin DBR1
The kit is from Graham at GP Minatures (
http://www.gp-miniatures.com/ )
It is a superb kit, casting of the body is really fine with great detail. The body itself is beautiful really captures the car. Graham also includes some cast and photo etched detail parts, headlights and windscreen and decals.
I am really looking forward to buildings this kit.
Cheers
David

Dangermouse- The BDR1 is a car that I've wished for a while would find its way to the market via one of the big manufacturers, and this gp-miniatures appears to be a great looking kit. However, it doesn't look like this kit comes with any interior, not even a steering wheel:

Seeing as how cockpit detailing is important in an open car, what are your plans for modeling this area?

Dangermouse- Those GTM F1s look great! Good point on MRRC making those driver kits. I had considered using a M/T Racing Resins driver for a couple of projects. There is a great variety of heads to choose from. I don't have enough faith in my ability to scratch build an interior on my own, so I'll be eager to see what you come up with. Please keep us posted and thanks for sharing!

Looking at a couple of photos of other builds it maybe that a shallow tray is best to use. I plan on using an inline chassis rather than a front motored one.

Wow, Graham does some nice work. I really loved what he did with the DB4 Zagato, too.

I've bought a 300SLR for under $35 shipped off of ebay, and there are still some cheap ones on there now. I even got one off of amazon.com of all places for something like $28 and free shipping!
The pictures of the motor/gear setup in the review are pretty good, but let me know if you want some others and I'll either try to post them here or email them to you.

Hi John
It is an automotive paint - Powerplus - the colour is Aspen Green Metallic
I had to have a go a matching colours as best I could from Photos of the Internet - not perfect but I am happy with the overall look
