This is a 1/32 Monogram/Revell 1978 280z attached to a PCS 32 chassis. The paint is Copper Bronze Met from MCW, I think it has a bit to much red in it, but the paint airbrushed nicely.

Looks nice! I can imagine one in red, white and blue, #33 with Paul Newman at the wheel in SCCA GT2.
I believe it's a 280 ZX though.

Excellent work as usual. And Datsun had a chestnut brown metallic that was exactly the color of that paint in the picture. My cousin had one in that color.

Really wonderful build, and I LOVE the color! Had a friend that had a silver one like it...I remember the dash lights being red in color. Cool as heck at night!

That's a great build. I've been a fan of those Datsuns ever since I had a green Matchbox one as a kid. May I ask what wheels you used?

Here is a photo of the final test fit before painting the body showing the original color of the plastic, kit box at the lower right. Check out the facemask on the driver helmet. I didn't know how I could paint it with my shaky hands so I made a decal. I can make it any color outlined or solid.Image

Decalling the driver's faceshield was a good idea. I too tend to get all shaky when I need to paint a straight line. My cars tend to look like they were pained my Salvador Dali- meaning that parts of the detailwork looks like his "soft clocks."

Are the lights on the rear-end decals? They look pretty good if they are.

i found a photo from the rear of the car and made the rear tailights and also made the badges and marker light decals.
