Boyz would like to do some vintage racing this summer.
Came across this 56 Vette and trailered it into the shop. The Boyz were attraced by the great stories about the Dick Thompson the "Flying Dentist" and that 56 was the start of factory support.
Looking at the pictures of him racing in the over 1500cc production race at Pebble Beach and in Canada.
starting life as a 1/32 snap kit and chassis could be a R/M or a pioneer.
Going to keep the top as the accent color, working on base color.

Revell; be patient filling the rear bumper openings, they take more putty than you realize!

burned thru all sorts of sanding material just getting the mold lines out!
not real picky on fine details since all of the static conversions are on the track or hard raced as this one will be!
going toslap the accent color on this afternoon.

Boyz have the first phase of painting done now.
Punch list to clean up some of the paint spills etc., and waiting for the chassis to arrive next.
Still have the interior to work on and numbering and sponsors to get on the car.

The Boyz are real happy how this 56 turned out. Hanging out with some of the Ninco's put in some day and night time laps.
Handles great and a big smile to drive!!
