I've never done a build in process before but thought I might give it a go. This model is of a '49 Caddy and the Cunningham Caddy was a '50 but close enough for me. I'm planning to put a Carrera Superbird/Charger chassis under it.

Well so far things not going as expected. I was trying to lighten the body and while not paying attention I put a couple of inspection holes in the trunk of the car. So I'll start over tomorrow. LOL

Here is a pic of the body next to a Carrera Roadrunner. It is basically the same length from bumper to bumper as the Roadrunner.

Doh! I've done that once, er...at least 10 times... Dremels are just too fast for me sometimes when I'm not alert.

Finally a bit of progress today. I cut out the fender skirts, lightened the body, put some putty in a few areas, and mocked up the chassis. The superbird chassis was a little to short, but there was room to open up the front wheel wells without getting into the trim. The stock carrera wheels/tires are a little wide so I've decided to throw a set of CB Design steelies on it. I'm thinking 15x7 all the way around.

Well I did a terrible job with my build in progress updates, but I did finish it. The masking tape I used peeled up the paint and I touched it up best I could with a paint pen. It looks pretty good from this angle though. LOL
