Orange Corvette

Greetings, here is a Corvette casing I got from Munter in New Zealand. I believe it is a redo of a Nico Corvette. Very well done light casting. You get a body, interior tray, dash board and the lower half of a driver figure.

I ground off all the bumpers and molded on head lights. Then had to fill in the mess I had made. From that I added a wind screen, lights, hood straps, mirrors and side exhaust. Primed and painted with Tamiya paint.

Used a Sebring chassis with Protoslot wheels and inserts. The front tires are Protoslot and the rears are urethanes from DArt Hobby along with the drivers head.

Used the Patto's Place mounting kit to attach the body to the chassis. The only other change I made to the chassis was to use a Slotit guide for a wood track. Regards, John

Excellent work! I've become a Vette fan of late (don't tell Ford) and this is very cool. Where did you source the Protoslot wire wheels?

Thanks for the kind comments. I was getting Protoslot wheels from Electric Dreams but now most of them are on back order. TsgRet you might try Pendle Slot and look at the PCS wire wheels. Same style, also Penelope Pitlane sells some nice wire wheels. Thank you again for the comments and views. Regards, John
