Cunningham and Connaught

Greetings, Here are two projects that I finished in the last few days. The first is a Cunningham from Munter in New Zealand. John's (Munter's) castings are wonderful. Very light and well formed. All you get is a body so all the detail parts need to either be made or come from the parts bin. I added a windscreen, mirrors, all the lights, hood straps and a gas cap. It rides on a PCS chassis with Protoslot wheels, tires and inserts. The Connaught is from Penelope Pitlane. It is a very nice kit. Well thought out and easy to put together. The only changes I made were to use a Slotit black crown gear and different driver's head. Regards, John

Those look great! I really like the Cunningham! I built one from a old Aurora kit some time back. Nice work!

Excellent. Next to the pre war cars, I love the Fifties road racers.

Thank for you kind comments. Road racers from the 50s are one of my favorite cars to build. Have to kind of look around for them, but they are out there. Regards, John

FYI, Briggs Cunningham's wife, Maxine Elmer was an ex-Singer racer from '52 and '53. A real looker too.

:handgestures-thumbupleft: Both cars look great, but it's a treat to see that Cunningham. I wasn't aware that anyone was making them.

these cars are like works of art!!

never build anything of this era, but sure like to see them on the track.

Speaking of tracks, are you posted ours on reader roads, looks very complimentary to the cars.
