Printed Porsche

I have been working with 3D printing for a little while making parts. But I really wanted to try bodies....it's just beyond my design skill at this point.
However, I found a nice Porsche 356 body on Thingiverse.....and downsized it a bit.

It is slightly smaller than the Ninco:

But it's pretty close, and I am going to at least give it a try. I can always upsize it a bit if needed.
I am pretty psyched to get it running. It's pretty flexible so I am not sure how durable it will be, but that's the fun of the first test, right?

Looking good so far. What kind of filament are you using? Isn't it just amazing what can be done with the computer and Printer. It's very difficult to not watch the printer do its magic. I'll be watching this one.

Thanks guys. It's printed in PLA since I don't have a heated bed. The 3D20 is a basic printer but I will say that it just works. I haven't really had any serious problems with it.

The filament is natural color, 3D Solutech from Amazon for about $15. I have other colors but since I knew it would be painted I just went natural.

Glad you're learning this technology Paul. A lot of technology has passed me by, but you young guys seem to grasp it pretty easy.

That's really cool, it may be more durable and give more grip with all that flexing. Continued success to you and your innovation.

just thought I would pass this on, I use the IC3D 3mm ABS filament in my mini and I've found that the red and green are the strongest. It may be a coincidence on the color but that is what I found so I just paint those whatever color I want.
