Found this beauty at the flea market. Wasn't sure it could be done but for $5 I was willing to give it a shot. Turned out to be both easy and big fun. Everything just snapped together so very easy to take apart.

Wheel base is very close to 1/24 and the existing axles holes were 1/8 so more easy.... I decided to epoxy in these bearings with the axle in place. Worked real good. Experimented with some guides and went with some old Slot It HRS Chassis stuff Ive been pushing around. Didnt do anything to the front, just went with a smaller dia axle for a little slop. (sorry about the big pic, couldnt get it to resize)

Found some old Parma stickers and some black striping tape (the black hides the joint between the top and bottom body parts real nice). Dropped in an old NC5 with a 26T Parma crown gear, some Pro Tracks all the way around and it ran like a dream on the blue king. Ill keep my eye out for these at the flea market for sure.

Wow. That's a serious makeover. Nice job. Wouldn't guess it was the same critter as in the first pic.

That turned out SWEET....
What a great job you did on a cheap, overlooked toy car...
