Looking good David.
The '65 Impala has been one of my favorites. Mine doesn't look as spiffy as yours, but it continues to run and handle nicely.

Hogan - I always loved this car so it is nice to run it again.
Jim - I still am sad about Tims decals not being available.
Rob - that looks great!!! What a color combo! I liked it so much I have one too...although mine won't buff out like yours...
Problem is...I can't stop at one...I'll work on these tomorrow!

I always liked that #6 Fury. I'm glad you got it out of retirement.
About that '65 Chevy #22... that photo is from when I finished it, quite some time ago. It has Crusader's Wounds since then. I have a rule, that I don't repair car bodies that are damaged in fair combat. So, it isn't as pretty as that photo these days. Amazingly, it is faster than ever and the tiny red pinstripe never chipped at all. It actually looks pretty good for having been slammed so much by other cars.

...and we're almost done. I finished up all but one as the motor has a bent shaft causing some seriously funny gear noises. Parts on the way courtesy of a certain wise gent in Missouri...
The rest run extremely well and I could not be more pleased. The Gurney car needed a little extra elbow grease as when I had my Scalextric track and our own Red73Mustang came to visit - well, we flogged these stock cars pretty hard. There were paint stripes all over that thing.
I also took some time this past weekend to finally install my fencing. A necessary evil on a small oval as it is just too easy to fly off the table. Simple plastic gutterguard, scrap metal posts cut down from leftover yard edging stakes and zip ties. Works like a champ!

Must admit, the warranty claim on the Stang is a hoot :)
Fun to see these cars getting the attention. And the extras aorund the oval as well.
I might have ordered the Dart, but you have me thinking Nova and Oldsmobile. Might be time for some old Busch Series cars to get "The Reinecke Redo".
