Outstanding build, Valie! I love MK I Escorts, Ford never thought to sell them in the U.S. but an RAF buddy had one when I was stationed in the UK....I'd let him drive my US spec 76 Fiat 131 (1800 twincam) and he'd let me thrash his MK I!
What did you build up your new wheel arches up with along the body join? I have one of these bodies in the parts box and now I'm thinking
Keep up the good work! And do what the doctors tell you. All of us guys in the HRW Cardiac Ward need to watch out for each other!

TsgtRet, I've used a two part epoxy glue and once dried, sanded the rough edges off, first with the Dremel and afterwards with sandpaper. I also shaped the credit card spats to fit the body contours properly.

That turned out super. With that chassis and motor it should fly. Great job.

Nice one Valie! Plenty of those at race tracks around South Africa in the seventies when we were growing up.

Well done.

The Escort ran! After some installation laps on our 40m club track and without any tuning or setup changes, the fast laps, not in any great deal of anger, compared well with the times done in the Camaro that I used for Classic racing last year. So, yes, it looks promising!

Beautiful always like those mk1, mk2 you done a fantastic build.
I always wondered why Ford didn't bring them to the states instead they give us a mustang II which had to be the worst joke beside the other small. Cars here by American auto manufacturers.
