I need you to rub my head. Maybe some of you talent will transfer to me. Well, I need a lot, so just keep up the rubbing.
I have very little talent in building cars. Mine turn out to be Frankinmobiles. Just ask the villagers.

I had the same kit in the same colors a while back, and I put an H&R chassis under it. Be careful! That rear end, as I'm sure you noticed, has a lot of parts, and getting rear ended is a disaster. By the way, you got much nicer tailights than mine. Mine were thin little inserts, and one got away fast on the track. Yours look substantial.

dge467,
Thank you for the trip down Memory Lane! My Dad and I used to visit the various car dealership showrooms each Fall to check out the new models.
1958 was the first year for the Edsel. I was told that it was brought to compete with the Buick model line. So it had upscale trim and such.
I remember the selector buttons for the transmission were located in the center of the steering wheel, where the horn button was normally located. On the Edsel I seem to remember a huge chrome ring for sounding the horn.
The colors - Ember Red & Black - with the color matched hub caps just made this car grab your attention.
Once again, thanks for the memories.
