Artin stocker upgrades
Posted: Mon Oct 26, 2015 6:19 amBrought a couple more American thunder cars up to speed this weekend. Of the many NASCAR rides I have here at the Crossroads speedway, only Four are Carrera. They are great running cars, but I needed a few more to run with them. We run the SCX cars separate from the Scaley's, and the Carrera cars are in there own league. So, I took a few Artin Stockers, and installed Carrera e-200 motors, and a new Small Mag upgrade. Of course they needed some better paint and decals, so some old AMT snapfast cars provided the needed livery's.
Last night saw these two cars running neck and neck with some stock but tuned Carrera cars, with a median Lap time of identical 3.25.
Pretty darn good for Artin chasis cars!. I have been setting up all the NASCAR cars to have just enough mag grip to keep them smooth, but lets the tails walk out nicely when pushed in the corners. It makes for some very close racing, and newcomers can drive them without to many de-slots. hope you all like em!
